Website privacy

This page is about the website you are reading right now. It is separate from the app’s privacy policy, which covers the Tidel app for iOS and Android.

No cookies. No tracking across websites. No advertising, and nothing sold to anyone. tidel.no does not ask for consent because it does not store or read anything on your device.

What is measured

The front page counts visits so the developer can tell whether anyone is finding it. The measurement is done by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to work without cookies and without building a profile of you.

WhatWhy
The address of the page you openedTo see which pages people actually read
The referring site, if you came from a linkTo see where visitors come from
Browser, operating system and rough screen sizeTo know which devices the site must work on
Country, derived from the network connectionTo know which countries to write for
How quickly the page loadedTo find pages that are slow

What is not measured

The legal bit

The lawful basis is legitimate interest under GDPR article 6(1)(f): knowing whether a website is read at all is a normal part of running one. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, the Norwegian ekomlov § 3-15 (the «cookie rule») does not require consent here.

Cloudflare acts as a data processor. Their documentation for this product is at developers.cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

Turning it off

Any content blocker that blocks static.cloudflareinsights.com stops the measurement completely, and the site works exactly the same without it. Sending Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control from your browser is also respected — the script is not loaded at all in that case.
